India's EV Policy — FAME Scheme

The FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles) scheme provides subsidies for EV purchases and charging infrastructure. Targets 30% of all new vehicle sales as EVs by 2030, led by 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers.

India's public EV charging network grew from 5,000 to 24,358 stations — a 5x expansion in 3 years. Target: 4,70,000 stations by 2030 under the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan.
